Our School Name
"Cosmos" is a cheerful flower. The word also means "world" or "universe" in Greek.
We have named our school "Cosmos," reflecting our wish that our children will fly high from the microcosmos of Nagoya University Cosmos Nursery School to the bigger world, the macrocosmos, with a well-balanced personality nurtured through interactions between the individual (microcosmos) and society (macrocosmos).

Child-care at Cosmos
Nagoya University provides an environment where its faculty and staff can pursue their careers, at the same time they raise their children without worries. As our child-care philosophy, we aim that children meet a diversity of people and grow up by engaging with nature. We have children coming regularly, temporary, or joining in the middle of the year, and coming with different cultural backgrounds. This unique environment gives children opportunities to get to know and learn from a diversity of people. The nursery is also surrounded by greenery, so that we provide child-care in harmony with nature. |
