Caregiving Leave System

The eligibility requirements for caregiving leave have been relaxed, making the system easier to use. We encourage you to take advantage of these arrangements to help balance work and caregiving responsibilities.
Details of the caregiving leave system vary depending on employment status and working hours. For further information, please contact the personnel office of your respective department or unit.

Caregiving Leave System
・Leave may be taken in up to three separate periods.
・In some cases, the system may be used even for family members who do not live with the employee.
・The period during which partial caregiving leave can be used has been extended.
Support for Caregiving
・Employees may apply for exemption from overtime work during the caregiving period.
・Any conduct that worsens the working environment on the grounds of using caregiving leave or related systems constitutes harassment.
