About
Under its Diversity Program, MEXT has supported a variety of initiatives for universities and public research institutions that are aimed at enabling highly qualified female researchers to apply their abilities to the fullest. Nagoya University's Retention, Development, and Promotion Program to Maximize the Career Potential of Female Researchers (the RDP Program) is the seventh university initiative of support for female researchers to be adopted as one of these MEXT programs.

About Nagoya University's RDP Program
The RDP Program seeks to increase the ratio of female to male faculty members as well as the share of upper-level faculty positions held by women. To that end, it integrates a retention package for the creation of research settings that support diversity, a development package aimed at cultivating the skills, expertise, and leadership potential of female researchers, and a promotion package aimed at increasing the share of upper-level positions held by female researchers.
